EB3 Visa Sponsorship

Your Pathway to Permanent Residency in the United States

What is the EB3 Visa?

The EB3 (Employment-Based Third Preference) immigrant visa is a U.S. permanent residency (Green Card) pathway for skilled workers, including Registered Nurses. It allows internationally educated nurses to live and work permanently in the United States - and eventually apply for U.S. citizenship.

Unlike temporary work visas, the EB3 visa provides a direct route to a Green Card, giving you and your family the security of permanent U.S. residency. Nurse Global Recruiter partners with U.S.  employer who is willing to sponsor qualified nurses through this pathway.

Who Qualifies?

U.S. Registered Nurse License

You must hold a valid U.S. RN license (NCLEX passer) in the state where you will be employed.

Job Offer from a U.S. Employer

A sponsoring U.S. employer must file a petition on your behalf.

Trumerit or Visa Screen Certificate (not yet required under Regular EB3 Processing)

Credential evaluation through Trumerit or a VisaScreen certificate is typically required for nursing occupations.

English Proficiency (not yet required under Regular EB3 Processing)

Demonstrated English proficiency through IELTS, TOEFL, or OET is generally required. (A prerequisite for Visa Screen certification).

Clean Background

A clean criminal background and good moral character are required for U.S. immigration.

Critical Thinking Skills

Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking are essential for U.S. nursing practice. The NCLEX is built around clinical decision-making, and U.S. employers consistently rank it among the top qualities they look for in candidates.

The EB3 Process - Step by Step

01

Apply with NGR

Submit your application to Nurse Global Recruiter. Our team reviews your credentials and invite you for the Zoom meeting.

02

Review Immigration and Employment Agreements

Employment and Immigration Agreements will be sent to nurses for review. These documents outline your employment terms, obligations, and the sponsorship arrangement. Read them carefully and raise any questions before making a decision. Once you are in agreement with the terms, signing the Agreements will officially start the process.

03

Immigration Process - We Guide You Every Step

From document preparation to government filings, Nurse Global Recruiter and your sponsoring employer's immigration team will guide you throughout the entire process. You will never navigate the paperwork alone - we are with you from petition to approval.

04

I-140 Immigrant Petition

Your sponsoring employer files Form I-140 (Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers) with USCIS on your behalf. Because nurses are Schedule A exempt - no PERM approval needed first.

05

Wait for Visa Availability

After I-140 approval, you wait for a visa number to become available based on your priority date and country of birth (per the Visa Bulletin). Important: receiving a Priority Date is not the same as an approved I-140 petition. Your Priority Date is simply the date USCIS received your I-140 petition - it marks your place in line, but approval is a separate determination that comes later.

06

Consular Processing or Adjustment of Status

Once a visa number is available, you complete consular processing at a U.S. embassy or adjust status if already in the U.S. Note: a medical examination by a USCIS-designated civil surgeon or panel physician is required before your immigration interview. This exam must be completed and submitted as part of your visa application package. Prepare thoroughly for your immigration interview - review your application documents, be ready to answer questions about your employment, qualifications, and intent to work in the U.S., and bring all required supporting documents on the day of your interview. Our immigration team will provide interview coaching to help you feel confident and fully prepared before you walk into the consulate.

07

Upon approval, you and eligible family members receive U.S. permanent residency (Green Card) and can begin your new life in America.
